How much does balayage cost in Barcelona? 2026 prices
- by Equipo Fusion Beauty
Quick summary: at Fusion Beauty (Carrer de Floridablanca 73, Sant Antoni, Barcelona) balayage costs €120 for short hair, €160 at our standard rate and €195 for extra-long hair; with Plex Diamond it is €135–225. Adolfo, our colour specialist, paints it by hand, and it usually needs a refresh every 3 to 4 months.
Balayage prices at Fusion Beauty
The price depends mainly on the length and density of your hair, because both change how much product and time the colour takes. These are our September 2026 prices, the same ones you will find on our price list:
| Service | Price |
|---|---|
| Balayage, short hair | €120 |
| Balayage, standard rate | €160 |
| Balayage, extra-long hair | €195 |
| Balayage + Plex Diamond (short to extra long) | €135–225 |
| Babylights (short / medium / long) | €85 / €120 / €145 |
| Shatush (medium to extra long) | €165–215 |
| Colour (short to extra long) | €45–95 |
We confirm the final price during the consultation before we start. If your hair has a lot of previous colour or may need more than one session to reach the shade you want, we explain that up front.
What affects the price of balayage
There is no single price for balayage: it depends on your hair and on what your appointment includes. That is why our prices go from €120 to €195, or €135 to €225 with Plex Diamond. Four factors make the difference:
- Length and density: long, thick hair needs more product and more time.
- Starting point: lightening dark brown or previously dyed hair takes more work than brightening natural dark blonde.
- Protecting the fibre: adding a Plex-type treatment during lightening raises the price, but it is there to protect the hair fibre.
- Extras: toner, a cut or a hydrating treatment may be charged separately.
What the appointment involves
- Consultation: Adolfo looks at your base colour, the condition of your hair and any reference photo you bring, then suggests a technique and a price.
- Hand-painted application: the lightener is painted freehand in sections, with a natural transition from the root.
- Processing: timing is adjusted to your hair and to the shade you want to reach.
- Rinse and finish: if your shade needs adjusting, we will tell you whether a toner makes sense.
How long it takes and how long it lasts
Balayage is a long appointment. The exact time depends on length, density and whether you add Plex Diamond, so we confirm it when you book. Leave yourself an unhurried afternoon.
As for the result: because balayage grows out naturally and does not leave a hard root line, most clients refresh it every 3 to 4 months. Good home care helps the tone last between visits.
Balayage, babylights or shatush: how to choose
- Balayage: lightens in sections for a natural, sun-kissed effect. From €120.
- Babylights: very fine highlights spread across the whole head for a subtle result. From €85.
- Shatush: colour fades from mid-lengths to ends. €165–215.
Still unsure? Read our guide to balayage vs babylights vs shatush vs highlights or see our babylights page. Adolfo will also help you decide at the consultation.
Is Plex Diamond worth it?
Plex Diamond is an optional add-on applied during lightening to protect the hair fibre. It tends to make sense if your hair is fine, already sensitised or has been lightened before. Full balayage with Plex costs €135–225, compared with €120–195 without it.
Aftercare
- Wait 48 hours before your first wash.
- Use a sulphate-free shampoo and a hydrating mask once or twice a week.
- On blonde tones, use a purple shampoo now and then to control brassiness, but not every day.
- Apply a heat protectant before using a hairdryer or straighteners.
- Protect your colour from the sun and from chlorine.
If you want extra hydration in the salon, see our hair treatments, such as Salerm 21 hydration (€50).

Frequently asked questions
How much does balayage cost at Fusion Beauty?
€120 for short hair, €160 at our standard rate and €195 for extra-long hair. With Plex Diamond it costs €135–225.
Why does the price change with hair length?
Longer and thicker hair needs more product and more time to paint and process, so the price goes up with length.
How often does balayage need a refresh?
Because it grows out naturally without a hard root line, most clients refresh it every 3 to 4 months.
How long does the appointment take?
It is a long appointment. The time depends on length, density and whether you add Plex Diamond, so we confirm it when you book.
Can I have balayage if my hair is dyed dark?
Usually yes, but artificial pigment lightens differently from natural hair. We assess it at the consultation, and sometimes reaching the shade you want takes more than one session.
Who does the balayage?
Adolfo, our stylist who specialises in colour, balayage and straightening treatments.
Which is cheaper, balayage or babylights?
Babylights start at €85 for short hair, while balayage starts at €120. The right choice depends on the effect you want, not just the price.
